Privacy Policy
How Visinova collects, uses and protects your personal data. Written in plain English under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Last updated: 1 June 2026
1. Who we are
Visinova is the trading name of Mohamed AL-Kaisi, a sole practitioner based in London, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Visinova is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
You can reach us at info@visinova.co.uk.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to personal data we collect through:
- the contact form on visinova.co.uk/contact.html;
- the review form on write-review.html;
- comments left on articles via our blog;
- any direct email, phone or messaging you send us; and
- routine server logs generated when you visit the site.
3. What data we collect and why
3.1 Contact enquiries
When you complete the contact form, we collect: your name, email address, and message. Optionally, you may also provide a company name, the service you're interested in, and an indicative budget. We use this information to respond to your enquiry and, if it leads to a project, to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract.
Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR — steps prior to entering a contract; and Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in operating the business.
3.2 Reviews
If you submit a review we collect: your name, an optional company name, a star rating, and your review text. We publish reviews on the site once approved. You can ask us to remove your review at any time.
Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in displaying customer feedback. You consent to publication by submitting the form.
3.3 Blog comments
When you comment on an article we collect: your name, your comment text, and the article you commented on. Comments are displayed publicly on the article.
Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in moderating discussion on the site.
3.4 Server logs
Our hosting provider generates standard web server logs containing your IP address, the page you requested, the time of the request, your browser type and referring page. These are used to diagnose problems and protect the site against abuse.
Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and reliable.
4. Cookies and similar technology
Visinova does not set first-party cookies for analytics, advertising or behavioural profiling. For the small number of strictly necessary cookies that may be set by our hosting and content-delivery providers, see our Cookies Policy.
5. Who we share data with
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. The only organisations that process your personal data on our behalf are:
- Hostinger International Ltd — provides our website hosting, database and email transit. Hostinger's privacy policy is available on their website.
- Google LLC — we load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may process your IP address to deliver the font files; we do not pass any other data to Google.
- jsDelivr / Cloudflare — content delivery networks for a small number of open-source JavaScript libraries. They may log technical request data for security purposes.
We may also disclose personal data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. International transfers
Some of the providers listed above operate infrastructure outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred internationally, those transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards — typically the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision recognised by the UK Government.
7. How long we keep your data
- Contact enquiries: up to 24 months from your last contact, unless we go on to work together, in which case we keep records for the duration of the project plus 6 years for accounting and tax purposes.
- Reviews and blog comments: kept while the site is live, or until you ask us to remove them.
- Server logs: 30 days.
8. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (right of access);
- ask us to correct inaccurate data (right to rectification);
- ask us to delete your data (right to erasure);
- ask us to restrict how we use your data (right to restriction);
- receive a portable copy of your data (right to data portability);
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (right to object); and
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@visinova.co.uk. We aim to respond within one calendar month.
9. Complaints
If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk.
10. Security
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS, stored on managed UK/EU hosting infrastructure with access controls, and queried using parameterised database statements. We retain only what we need to do the job and delete what we don't.
11. Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and revise the "last updated" date at the top.
